The strongest witnesses are often those who have had a change of mind.
One of the most convincing testimonies of the resurrection of Jesus comes form his disciple Thomas – who didn’t see Jesus until a week after others did.
Even though his friends tried to convince him, Thomas doubled-down on his doubts: ‘Unless I see the nail marks in his hands, and put my fingers where the nails were… I will not believe it.’
The fact that, at a subsequent meeting with Jesus, Thomas came to change his mind and believe that Jesus had truly risen from the dead, should encourage us all to find out more about Jesus for ourselves.
